Stripe does not migrate subscriptions between accounts.
Stripe can copy customers and their saved payment methods to another account. It does not copy subscriptions, products, prices, billing meters, or schedules.
Someone must recreate them in the destination account and end the source subscriptions at exactly the right moment. Too early, and a customer loses a renewal. Too late, and both accounts charge the same card.

How a migration runs
Six stages in one migration project. The source owner and the destination owner each run the steps they own and see the other’s progress. One person can run both sides.
Stage 1
Connect
The source owner adds a read-only restricted key. The destination owner adds a write key. Each key comes from a one-click link that opens Stripe with the permissions filled in.
Stage 2
Scan
SubPorter reads every product, price, billing meter, customer, and active subscription in the source account. Nothing is written.
Stage 3
Decide
Most subscriptions move on their own. A subscription that renews within 48 hours, has a coupon, or has no saved card is flagged. The source owner decides each one: move now, or leave for now.
Stage 4
Pay
The one-time fee is charged before the first write to the destination account.
Stage 5
Move
Stripe copies the customers and their payment methods. SubPorter recreates the products, prices, and meters, then verifies every copied customer.
Stage 6
Schedule
One subscription schedule per subscription, starting on its renewal date. After every schedule is verified, the source owner sets the source subscriptions to cancel at period end.

Will Stripe move my active subscriptions to the new account?
- No. Stripe copies customers and saved payment methods. It does not move subscriptions, products, prices, billing meters, or schedules.
Can I transfer my Stripe account to the buyer instead?
- Stripe lets you change the account owner inside the same legal entity. A sale to another company, or a move to another country, needs a new account. The subscriptions must then be recreated there. That is what SubPorter does.
How does SubPorter prevent a double charge?
- The source account stays read-only while the new schedules are created and verified. Only then does the source owner set the source subscriptions to cancel at period end. Each subscription ends in the source account at the same moment it starts in the destination account.
Does SubPorter move every customer from the source account?
- No. SubPorter moves the customers who have an active subscription that does not renew within the next 48 hours. It also recreates the products, prices, and meters that those subscriptions need in the destination account. Subscriptions that renew sooner are flagged, and the source owner decides each one.
Can one person run the whole migration?
- Yes. A founder who moves to a new legal entity can connect both accounts and run every step alone.
Does SubPorter help me migrate the customer data in my database?
- No. SubPorter moves Stripe objects only: customers, products, prices, meters, and subscriptions. Your application, database, entitlements, and webhooks stay your job. Customer IDs stay the same in the destination account. The Schedule stage lists each old subscription ID next to its new schedule ID, so you can update your database.
